This sturdy weeding hoe is built with deeper digging in mind. The natural finished Shagbark Hickory handle is 14″ long (overall tool length is 22″). The combination of strength, toughness, and hardness found in Hickory is found in no other commercial wood and is why it is prized as a great material for tool handles. Each tool is forged by hand and the wood handle is finished with the bark on. The wood handle is slotted and the tool is inset into the slot then riveted all the way through with brass rivets. The subtle patina and extra loop in the stem give this tool a great balance and modern flair.
